Came here to see James Montgomery play in the backyard so I stopped into the tavern to have something to eat. It was a Sunday and they had a breakfast brunch with prime rib. I have already eaten breakfast but I had to try this. The prime rib was delicious and tender and flavorful. The Caper lemon haddock was fantastic.
"Local joint and worth it..."

Liked the laid back atmosphere. Locals abound, at least off season. Pizza was great, but I'm sure the seafood is much better. Great selection of draft beers.
"One of my faves in Wolfeboro"

Very nice atmosphere here at Wolfe's Tavern which is attached to the Wolfeboro Inn. Clean. Good menu. Excellent, friendly service. Good value for the money. Lots of different beers. I am not a beer drinker, so I enjoy the large martini menu. Love going here, especially on a cold winter night. Very warm and cozy. Parking is tight, but have heard you can park in the church lot across the street after hours.

"Great food, service, and a live band to top it off!"
March 13, 2015
We ordered sirloin steak with two sides and the steak was cooked exactly how we asked and the seasoning was done just right. The Tavern was stylish and above par for a restaurant inside our "Inn." We later made our way to the bar, which again had an attentive bartender and laid back crowd. Very pleased overall.
"Best in Wolfeboro"

Every time I've visited the Tavern, I've had a great experience. My favorite thing on the menu is the ravioli with steak tips. I like that their menu changes frequently, and that they run different specials every night. The chefs are so creative, and also very accommodating if you have a dietary restriction, or even just a special request. There's a little bit for everyone on the menu - they have sandwiches, burgers, pizza, pasta, steak, seafood, and comfort food. I think their menu is the most innovative in Wolfeboro. The atmosphere is cozy, service has always been spot-on and knowledgeable, and the drinks are delicious! They sometimes have a nightly drink special, and I've ordered off the martini list too. The mugs on the ceiling add a special touch, and joining the mug club sounds like quite a challenge, if you like beer! I'll be back, again and again, can't wait for the outdoor deck to open up again!

"Thanksgiving Dinner not far from home"
Reviewed November 27, 2014
We found ourselves left to out own devices on Thanksgiving Day so we decided to eat out. So off we went to the Wolfe's Tavern located in the Wolfeboro Inn and tried their Thanksgiving buffet. We had a beautiful drive over after 10 inches of snow the night before, most of that evening spent with out power. The Inn and Tavern are well appointed, very appealing and inviting. Just sitting in the main foyer by the fire while we waited to be seated was a pleasure. Once in the Tavern we were treated to an outstanding spread of turkey, roast beef, pork and numerous side dishes to satisfy any ones tastes. The food was excellent as was the service and atmosphere. The Inn is a good bet any day or anytime of year.
"An excellent Country Tavern"

A very spacious historical looking country tavern decorated with hundreds of pewter mugs from members of the tavern's beer club. The dining area has both tables and booths. It is a wonderful dining experience with an imaginative menu, large portions, and wonderful service.

We're guests at the Inn and have had one breakfast and two dinners in the Tavern so far. Breakfast was delicious and we really like the deck. Dinner was very good too; we especially liked the live music on Tuesday night.

We stayed at the Inn and enjoyed excellent breakfasts on both mornings we were there. Great variety and good value. Gluten-free toast was even available which was a plus. The service was superb as well. In addition, we enjoyed great cocktails at the tavern in the evening and found the bartenders to be very engaging and proficient. Only had the nachos as an appetizer one evening and they were actually quite exceptional.
